Due to the unprecedented measures implemented to mitigate spread of COVID-19, the Center for Leadership Development is being forced to adjust 2020 plans for programming, services, events and fundraising, including the postponement of CLD’s historic 40th Annual Minority Achievers Awards & Scholarship Gala to May 7th, spring programs and cancellation of the Annual Golf Outing.
Although the organization has shifted its program and service delivery and is unable to host major events, CLD fully intends to continue its mission and elevate those deserving of recognition. CLD is currently evaluating all of its programs and services and how to best serve students, parents and our communities moving forward.
Thank you for your support of the Center for Leadership Development. All spring programs are canceled. Read below for further information.
These are challenging times for all of us. The COVID-19 pandemic represents an austere public health challenge. The unpredictability of COVID-19 has made it difficult to design and implement a systematic plan for CLD programming. Nevertheless, we are dedicated to our families; thus, we continue to contemplate and deliberate about how we can execute purposeful and enriching programs and services during these precarious times.
We have made a number of operational changes in order to continue supporting our students and families. Our constant priority in making these changes has been to keep our students, parents, community, and staff safe.
We continue to work through these uncertain times to update, assess, and improve CLD programming so that all participants have equitable access to quality college and career readiness programs and services. Program and service updates are included below, along with the contact person for questions or concerns.
We look forward to resuming regular operations and welcoming you back to the Center for Leadership Development soon.
Notice: for participants who paid for spring 2020 programming, the program fee may be transferred for summer or fall 2020 opportunities.
