High School Scholarship Partners

Each spring during the Minority Achievers Awards & Scholarship Gala, Center for Leadership Development has the privilege of awarding some of its future high school students with scholarships through our high school partners. Read below to learn about these opportunities for Indianapolis Youth Development, see the qualifications, and visit the schools websites to get more information.

Brebeuf Jesuit Scholarship

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Schoool, in partnership with the Center for Leadership Development (CLD), solicits applications for a scholarship exclusively available to young men and women who are candidates for freshman admission to the school. The scholarship is intended to meet the full institutionally-determined need of chosen applicants through a mix of merit-based/need-based aid, grants, institutional sources, and/or student employment (work study). To determine the need on which to base the award, all applicants must complete the financial aid application process that is a regular component of the Brebeuf Jesuit application process.

The scholarship is renewable each year of the student’s Brebeuf Jesuit career that he or she maintains a GPA of 3.0 or above.

Cathedral High School Scholarship

Cathedral High School provides two scholarships to African-American men and women currently entering into their 9th academic year and who are seeking freshman admission to Cathedral High School. This opportunity is made available to a minimum of two students per academic semester which are renewable for four years and will provide merit-based partial-tuition scholarships. Additional support to CLD scholarship recipients will be provided through student engagement. All applicants must complete the online scholarship application for admission and essay form by Cathedral High School’s stated deadline, receive an acceptable score on the High School Placement Test, complete the Independent School Entrance Exam, and exhibit financial need from the SSS application.

International School of Indiana Scholarship

International School of Indiana will provide two scholarships to a minimum of two deserving incoming freshman. These scholarships will be awarded for four consecutive years. The scholarship is intended to meet the full institutionally-determined need of chosen applicants through a mix of merit-based/need-based aid, grants, institutional sources, and parent contributions.

Students must complete either Project MR. or Precious Miss by the time of the application deadline.

Park Tudor School Scholarship

Park Tudor School intends to meet full and demonstrated financial need for two rising freshman students per year by providing two merit-based full-tuition scholarships. The maximum value of each scholarship is the cost of full tuition and is based on the applicant’s demonstrated need. Scholarships are renewable for four consecutive years.

Students must complete either Project MR. or Precious Miss by the time of the application deadline, demonstrate promise through the Independent School Entrance Exam, demonstrate financial aid through the Parent’s Financial Statement and must apply through the Park Tudor application process by the stated deadline.

University High School of Indiana Scholarship

University High School of Indiana provides a minimum of two middle school students currently entering into their 9th academic year a full-tuition scholarship opportunity. Students must meet University High School’s admission guidelines. Each scholarship is renewable for four years, granted the student(s) maintain good academic standing (on-track to graduate). Additional support to CLD scholarship recipients will be provided throughout freshman year one-on-one college counseling to further assist recipients achieve college acceptance to four-year institutions.
