Interested in the medical field? This program is for YOU!

Dr. George H. Rawls, M.D., for which the Rawls Scholars Medicine Initiative is named, was a renowned and distinguished physician. He labored tirelessly to raise awareness of the need for a greater representation of minorities in the field of medicine and to facilitate minority student admission into and graduation from the IU School of Medicine.

CLD and Eskenazi Health have partnered to offer a unique experience that provides the opportunity for students to closely interact with medical professionals and medical students and to gain firsthand knowledge of attaining their career goals in medicine. Participants tour Eskenazi Health and the Coroner’s Office, shadow the trauma services staff and get an insider’s look at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Further explore your goal of becoming a medical professional by signing up today! Indianapolis Youth Development students must have completed the Self-Discovery/Career Exploration Project before registering for this program.
