“CLD taught me structure, time management, and independence. It prepared me for college even more than high school did. My mom once walked onto the football field during practice just to make sure I didn’t miss a CLD meeting, because that’s how important education was to us. If I’d missed that session, I might have lost my scholarship to Wabash.”
💙 Today, Quinn is thriving both academically and as a campus leader. We’re proud to walk alongside students determined to lead and excel. Read more (Vol.4 Issue 6 | Page 27)

⭐ Board Member Spotlight:
This quarter, we proudly recognize Chris Barney, a member of the Center for Leadership Development Board of Directors and a lifelong advocate for youth leadership.
A proud alumnus of CLD’s Self-Discovery Career Exploration Project (SD/CE), Class of 1984, Chris’s journey reflects the lasting impact of CLD’s mission. He is the Owner and President of Team Cruiser Conversion Company, a Minority Business Enterprise founded in 1983, and a graduate of Butler University’s Lacy School of Business and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
We are grateful for Chris’s continued leadership and commitment to CLD, then and now.
CLD delivers gold-standard leadership programs that cost $500 per student, but because of supporters like you, families pay just $25. That means young people who may never have access to leadership training, college exposure, or professional networks are equipped to lead, succeed, and give back.
That’s access. That’s opportunity. That’s impact.
