Purdue Bowen CLD Engineering Initiative

Grade Levels:

Are You a CLD Alum in Grades 10th - 12th Who's Interested in Engineering or STEM?

Bowen Engineering in partnership with the Minority Engineering Program (MEP) at Purdue University provide students and supportive adults with the opportunity to engage in hands-on engineering projects, learn more about the industry, tour Purdue’s campus and experience a Purdue University football game.

This Initiative has two parts:

Completed at Center for Leadership Development (Parents & Students)

Hands-on introduction to engineering with the Purdue University Minority Engineering Program’s IDEAS (Introducing Diversity through Engagement and Service) Learning Community class. Students build an engineering related project in groups, compete against their cohort and learn more about the industry.

November 2, 2024 from 6:00AM-5:30PM (approx.) at Purdue University (Students Only)

Students plus one supportive adult meet at CLD to board buses bound for Purdue University. On campus, students and supportive adults will tour the university, learn more about the engineering program, network with students, build an unique engineering related project and end their afternoon at the Purdue University vs. Wisconsin Badgers football game.
