Role Model/Advisor Experience

Grade Level
8th 9th 10th 11th 12th

CLD has applied the ‘it takes a village’ approach to the responsibility of raising a child by providing educational opportunities that allow our children to establish strong foundations of excellence and positive character.

Victor Bush
CLD’ 87 and Educator

The Role Model/Advisory Experience gives students the opportunity to interact with minority IMG_1411professionals in their career fields of choice. This event is an excellent opportunity for CLD students and their parent(s)/guardian(s) to network and gain valuable information from professionals. Roles models are selected by careers, professional excellence and their commitment to community leadership. Whether the student aspires to be an Accountant, Cardiac Surgeon, Engineer, Registered Nurse, Attorney, Educator, Journalist, Sports Marketer, Music Producer, Graphic Artist, or an Entrepreneur or maybe still Undecided, this experience helps both the parent and student prepare.

Take advantage of the opportunity to:

  • Discover the education and training needed to successfully obtain your career goals
  • Network with outstanding minority professionals
  • Learn positive and challenging aspect of your chosen profession
  • Participate in empowering parent sessions
